Esther L. Meek, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Geneva College. A writer, teacher, speaker and conversationalist, Esther especially likes to think and talk about how we know (epistemology). That equates to talking about just about everything in life: identity, vocation, business, learning, research, parenting, Christian discipleship.

Born in Philadelphia, Esther attended Cedarville College (BA), Western Kentucky University (MA), Temple University  (PhD), as well as studying at Westminster Theological Seminary and Covenant Theological Seminary. She lived with her young family in Lafayette, Louisiana, for the decade of the 80s, and in St. Louis from 1990-2004.

Esther lives in Aliquippa, in Western PA, since relocating here in 2004 from St. Louis. In anticipation of the spiritual and structural restoration of this post-industrial town and its people, she supports Aliquippa’s Uncommongrounds Café (www.uncommongroundscafe.org ), and she serves on the board of Aliquippa Impact Ministries (www.aliquippaimpact.org).

She has three grown daughters living in St. Louis: Starr (www.21stward.org) , Anastasia (married to Evan Smith) and Stephanie (married to Garrett Sipes).
